If you’re an experienced van driver, then you’ll know that a van is far more than just a mechanism for carrying you and your tools from A to B. It can also transform into a much-needed piece of machinery.
Spanish manufacturer, Movex, recognises this and has announced the creation of its new 14 metre TLF14 van mounted aerial work platform. Small enough to fit on a 3.5 tonne van, with a reach far enough to complete most standard jobs, the new mounted platform has a 200kg capacity and an outreach of 6.5 metres. This outreach is extended to 7.7 metres with 120kg.
Movex recommends fitting the lift to the Renault Master, however it should fit most vans of a similar size. It has a two section telescopic boom, that provides around 120 degrees of articulation and twin mounted stabilisers for 420 degrees of slew.
The Export Manager at Movex, Angel Velilla, has said:
“When we previously had a dealer in UK we really didn’t have enough of a product range and as a result, the sales were poor, but now with the new TLR series and the products that are in the pipeline, we feel we are ready to tackle this important market for van mounted lifts and are therefore looking for a dealer.”
Whether you’re interested in investing in a lift or not, it’s important to make sure you have the correct van insurance should the worst happen and you get into an accident or suffer an injury.
