According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), November 2016 was a record-breaking month for the UK with nearly 30,000 new vans hitting the road.
The Van Market Shows No Sign of Slowing
To be exact 29,784 new LCVs started their life on British roads last month. That is the highest number since records began more than 20 years ago and a 2.5% rise on new light commercial vehicle registrations. Lighter vans saw this biggest increase in demand, with popularity rising by an impressive 43.1%.
Ford was the biggest seller in November with more than 8,600 sales - more than double the sales of any other manufacturer. Volkswagen came in second, with Mercedes and Peugeot coming in third and fourth respectively.
