Finding the UK's Smartest Van Driver

The search is on to discover the UK's brainiest van driver. LeaseVan.co.uk has proposed a challenge to restore the notoriety of Britain's army of van drivers.

They are looking at commending the huge number of British van drivers who take after scholarly interests, in terms of playing chess, finishing crossword riddles and tuning in to documentaries.

Keen van drivers have time till the end of November to enter the challenge by sending in a photograph of themselves while they enjoy their most favourite brainy interest.

Among the early leaders is London based Harsha Rathnayake from Junkhunters.co.uk, who has shown his smarts by gaining an MBA and a degree in Automotive Engineering. Beginning with a single van he has developed his own business, turning over £1.5m and owning a fleet of vehicles - he now has plans to spread UK wide.

The winner of the challenge will be announced towards the start of December and will get a prize of £100 in Amazon vouchers, just in time for Christmas.

A representative for LeaseVan.co.uk said:"At Leasevan.co.uk we trust Britain's van drivers are a fabulous pack of persevering and, truly, brilliant, young men and young ladies”.

"You don’t have to be a genius to enter our contest. Perhaps you are well known for finishing a crossword in record time or maybe you always get the conundrum on Countdown?"

“Whatever your claim to intellectual fame, if you think you could be a positive image of a clever British van driver we want to hear from you.”

Participate now by sending your entries to VanLease.co.uk.
