Ford, Peugeot and Citroen Launch Van Scrappage Schemes

A few months ago, we wrote about a government proposal about a targeted scheme which would remove older and more polluting vans and cars from UK roads, similar to the 'scrappage scheme' in 2009. Now, four months on, Ford, Peugeot and Citroen have all released their own discounts.

Ford Scrappage Scheme

Get up to ÂŁ7,000 off a new Ford vehicle between September 1st and the end of 2017.

The exact amount will depend on the dealership and if any finance is required, however, you can save between £2,000 and £7,000 if you’re the owner of a petrol or diesel Ford car or van that was released before December 2009.

Peugeot Scrappage Scheme

Under Peugeot's scheme, qualifying customers can get up to ÂŁ6,000 off cars and ÂŁ7,000 plus VAT off Peugeot vans until the end of the year as long as current Peugeot vehicles were registered before 31st December 2010.

Typical savings include ÂŁ3,000 on a Peugeot Bipper, ÂŁ5,000 on a Peugeot Partner and ÂŁ7,000 on a Peugeot Boxer 333/335/435/440.

Citroen Scrappage Scheme

The Citroen scheme mirrors the Peugeot one, but has a maximum saving limit of ÂŁ7,000.

Typical savings include ÂŁ3,000 on a Nemo Panel Van, ÂŁ5,500 on a Dispatch Panel Van and ÂŁ7,000 on a Relay 33/35/40 Panel Van.
