AXAAXA Insurance is one of the largest general insurers in the UK, offering a broad range of both Commercial and Personal products distributed predominately through brokers. Headquarters are based in London with numerous other offices around the UK. AXA employ around 11,000 people in the UK, 1,000 people in Ireland and have approximately 10 million UK customers. On the motor insurance side, AXA Insurance underwrites a range of products such as car and van insurance cover and is the largest travel insurer in the UK. AXA also underwrites a number of products for some of the UK’s best known brands.

Equity Red StarEquity Red Star is the largest personal lines syndicate at Lloyd’s as well as being the UK’s 5th largest motor insurer. They have been providing van insurance for the past 60 years, originally beginning life as a Lloyd’s syndicate in 1946. Over the years, their business evolved into Equity Red Star, becoming one of the top five motor insurers in the UK - the largest personal lines syndicate at Lloyd’s.

Fortis Insurance came into existence in April 2000 after the incorporation of Bishopsgate Insurance Ltd and Northern Star Insurance Company Limited. Groupama Insurance

Groupama InsuranceEstablished over 160 years ago, Groupama Insurances is part of the Groupama, one of the largest European Financial Services providers. Groupama are the second biggest multi-line insurer and the leading mutual insurer in France. Groupama have annual revenues of around 14.2 billion Euros and assets under management of close to 79 billion Euros. Groupama Insurances only transacts business through a select panel of professional insurance brokers and offer one of the best van products on the market.

HighwayHighway, part of the Liverpool Victoria group of companies (LV=), is a leading personal lines insurer committed to providing technical and service excellence. Established in 1843, Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society is the UK’s largest friendly society and leading provider of financial services products. Established more than 50 years ago as a motor insurance specialist they are one of the top providers of UK van insurance cover.

KGM

KGMKGM has been providing specialist motor insurance since it commenced underwriting in 1957. The company, which is named after its founder, Kenneth Gordon McNeil, is an authorised Lloyd’s syndicate and one of the few motor insurers still heavily supported by traditional names. One hundred per cent of their business is derived from the network of registered brokers and they remain totally committed to the intermediary channel. They apply a common sense approach to underwriting and are keen to offer flexible and bespoke solutions for specific or unusual circumstances.

Their products are only available through insurance broking intermediaries who are fully authorised by the Financial Services Authority in the UK. Currently they look after the needs of around half a million policyholders and sell their insurance products through a nationwide network of more than 3000 intermediaries.

RSA (Formerly Royal Sun Alliance)

The products offer highly competitive levels of cover and a professional claims service focused on dealing with customers quickly and fairly. They provide insurance products and services in over 130 countries and have operations in more than 33 countries. They have implemented an operational improvement programme which helps to enhance open communications, improved complaints handling and better claims service.

Sabre

SabreSabre was formed in 1982 and underwrites only motor insurance, including private cars, taxis and individual van insurance cover, solely through intermediaries. They are a specialist insurer who focus on the younger end of the motor insurance market, and also offer policies for clients who have multiple convictions with and without No Claims Bonus.

Service Motor PoliciesService Underwriting was established in 1997 - originally as Service Policies at Lloyd's and latterly operating as an underwriting agency. They act for various insurers carrying out underwriting, processing, claims handling and auditing activities. Their business is generated through a select number of UK brokers, focussing on the high-quality and successful brokers. Their business specialises in the high premium sector of the UK private car market as well as smaller commercial vehicles.

Zenith

ZenithZenith, established in 1937, now has over 60 years experience in the insurance market. The Zenith Group is known principally for its broker distributed motor insurance products.
