Vauxhall launch ecological van range

Vauxhall have joined the spate of recent ecological van releases from many of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers by bringing out their own offering, which will see an ‘eco’ option due to be released across their entire range.
With what will be a first in the industry, Vauxhall’s range of commercial vehicles is to feature an all new ecoFlex variant, which will help to identify the lowest emission options. Initially, the ecoFlex range will compromise of two new Vivaro vans, both 2.0 CDTI versions, with CO2 emissions of just 185g/km, which given a maximum payload of 1254kg, represents a superb alternative for a ‘green’ mid weight commercial vehicle.
These two recent additions compliment the Vauxhall’s existing ‘eco’ offering, which includes the Movano ecoFlex, currently on sale and producing a miserly CO2 output of just 202g/km; tremendously energy efficient for such a big van. This has been achieved by cutting down on energy sapping features, and replacing them with manually operated windows, door locking and mirrors, as well as a 56mph speed limiter fitted as standard.

With the increase in the importance of green credentials, we are taking the matter particularly seriously.
