Van Drivers Found to be Moral Heroes of Our Motorways

How would you describe the typical white van driver? Well, according to a recent survey, the stereotypes are very wrong. Typical attributes of these drivers were found to actually include being selfless, responsible and having a strong moral code.

The Stats Behind This Heroic Claim

  • More than half of drivers were found to use their vehicles to help others.
  • 78% would pull over to help an injured person.
  • 75% said they’d stop to help someone who had been knocked over.
  • 72% said they would stop to help others who had been in a crash.
  • 44% would stop to help a person with a broken down vehicle.

In addition to these positive statistics, the government reports van drivers are half as likely to be involved in a road traffic accident as regular car drivers.
